Celebrate moments that are worth being set in (gem)stones
Birthstones are gemstones that accompany a birth month, each having its own unique meaning. People’s attachment to birthstones goes beyond a gems’ beauty. There is something intimately personal and incredibly significant in a delicate ring adorned with a child’s birthstone or a beautiful set of birthstone earrings presented by a loved one. We’ve created two new additions to our original birthstone collection, the Birthstone Ring Earring, and the stackable Birthstone Multi-Ring. All pieces are made in 14K gold using a shiny gemstone for each month of the year.
January – Garnet
The meaning of the luminous, deep red Garnet is ‘protection’. Back in the day, explorers and travellers would carry this gemstone with them on their trips around the globe to light up the night. A Garnet will keep you safe on all your adventures - big or small - in life.
February - Amethyst
The meaning of the deep violet Amethyst is ‘wisdom’. This gemstone is a member of the Quartz family of gems and is highly valued for its twinned crystal structure. Fun fact: the word ‘amethyst’ comes from the Greek word ‘amethystos’ which translates to ‘not drunken.’
March – Aquamarine
The meaning of the bright blue Aquamarine is ‘serenity’. This gemstone is highly sought after for its beautiful colour and flawless crystal structure, which remind us of salty waters and endless skies. That’s why many sailors would bring aquamarines on their voyages to keep calm on wild waves.
April – Diamond
April babies get one of the most precious gemstones as their birthstone: the diamond. The Ancient Romans believed that Cupid’s arrows were tipped with diamonds, so it’s no surprise that a diamond is known as the ‘love stone’. Love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.
