We are proud to announce that on the 25th, 26th and 27th of October, you will be able to get tattooed at our Herengracht shop by the talented Amy Pokes!

Amy is a well-known tattoo artist in Amsterdam, most known for her dainty feminine design and her hand poke technique. Her name already tells it a bit but Amy uses the hand poke technique for her tattoos. The tattoo process is the same as using a tattoo machine, but the needle is hand-powered instead of electric.  

Especially for us, Amy made a selection of flash tattoos each with a unique design and a specific size. The costs per tattoo are depending on which flash you choose. It is not possible to send in your own design, you can only choose from the flash designs Amy designed for us.

How to book your appointment

If you would like to book an appointment to get tattooed by Amy you should follow the steps below:

  1. Send an email to amypokesinfo@gmail.com with the following information: the flash you would like to have and the preferred placement on your body. 
  2. You will receive an e-mail from Amy with the date, time slot and a deposit request, Please note if you don’t pay the deposit of €50 euros within 24 hours after receiving the e-mail you won’t have an appointment. 

Please note: it is very important to be on time for your tattoo appointment, Due to limited time we can’t run out, so we recommend to be present 10 minutes before your appointment starts. When you are not on time for your appointment unfortunately we have to cancel your appointment.

FAQ

At which location can you get tattooed?

Amy will be tattooing at the Herengracht 369 on the 25th, 26th and 27th of October.

What dates are available?

The available dates to get tattooed are the 25th, 26th and 27th of October from 16:00 until 21:00. Due to the limited dates and times, Amy will assign you to a day and time slot. It’s not possible to give a preference. 

The process of your appointment

Your tattoo appointment will start with Amy explaining the process, and going over the chosen flash tattoo and placement, If needed Amy will give you one-to-one advice so you can choose the perfect placement that is right for you. 

After this, Amy will welcome you into the studio and make sure that you are comfortable and ready for your tattoo. Tattooing will take +/- 30 minutes and Amy will execute her craft as gently as possible and provide you with all the aftercare instructions you need to ensure your tattoo heals properly so that you can enjoy your tattoo for the rest of your life.  

Please note: Wear something easy and comfortable (preferably no tight-fitting clothes) so that Amy can easily access your preferred placement.

Placements that are not possible

There are a few placements Amy won't tattoo, such as:

Ribs, lower back, underneath the breasts, palms, side of the fingers, bottom of the feet and side of the feet.

Requirements to get tattooed

If you want to get tattooed you have to be 18 years or older. We don’t tattoo in the following cases: when you are pregnant or breastfeeding and if you are younger than 18. 

Is it possible to have an own design tattooed?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to have your own design tattooed. You can only choose between the flash designs Amy especially designed for us. 

Prices and sizing

Every flash has a specific size, all the tattoos that are 2-4 cm are €150 and the 5-6 cm €200. These measurements can’t be changed. In case you will have multiple tattoo's the price per tattoo stays the same. 

Cancellation

When you are not on time we have to cancel the appointment, this also means that we won’t refund your deposit. 


If you would like to cancel your appointment please send an email to amypokesinfo@gmail.com 24 hours before your appointment. In this case, your deposit will be refunded.

Deposit

For your appointment, we ask you to pay a deposit. We do this to ensure that you are committed to your appointment and compensate Amy Pokes for when there is a last-minute cancellation. 

The deposit is a part of the price of the tattoo, this amount will be deducted from the total price in the store. 

Healing process & aftercare

Healing process:

The hand poke technique makes the wound less intense and therefore the healing process is shorter. You will notice that there are not really any scabs on the tattoo, but this does not make it any less important to apply bepanthen to your tattoo!

After a week you can actually do everything as normal again.

Aftercare:

Amy works with a second skin, this is a plaster that she will put on your tattoo after she is done tattooing. You need to keep the second skin on for 2/3 days (It is also possible to shower with the second skin). This will protect your tattoo from any dirt, water etc.

After 2 to 3 days you will take off the second skin (preferably under water). After that, you should rub your tattoo with a thin layer of bepanthen baby or tattoo creme 1/2 times a day for at least a week.

Please note: In the first week of getting your tattoo, we recommend not going to sun beds, sauna, hot yoga, or swimming.

Can I bring someone?

Yes, you are allowed to bring 1 person.

Please note: It is not possible for your +1 to get tattooed during your appointment.
