Haar jeugd bracht ze door met het afstruinen van Franse vlooienmarkten met haar oma en inspireerde haar passie voor levendige, niet gematchte keramiek, terwijl haar achtergrond in couture ontwerp haar een flamboyante, maar toch ambachtelijke benadering van haar creaties heeft gegeven.
