How to decorate your Christmas tree
'Tis the season - our favourite season! From table settings to decorating Christmas trees, this season we have curated a hand full of fun how-to guides to help you transform your home. For us, the Christmas tree is really the starting point, it’s the seasonal centrepiece of our homes, it's where we will place our wrapped gifts and the place we will gather around with friends and family. Follow our step by step guide and create your very own magical masterpiece!
Collect all of your favourite Christmas ornaments, and prepare to start decorating your tree!
Start with the lights. Every tree needs lights, whether you prefer warm ones - very cool ones or those funky multicoloured ones. Every so often, take a step back and look from a distance to check if the lights are evenly distributed.
Add lots of ribbons and bows. We like to mix things up and use bright, bold colours, but you can pick which ever combination you prefer. If you like to have a traditional colour palette, go for red, green and gold.
Next up is our corded ornaments. We are using a mixture of small and big ornaments and placing them everywhere around the tree to inject pops of colour. This is the perfect base layer before adding our statement ornaments...
And finally, our favourite part. It’s time for all those special baubles, the ones you’ve kept since childhood and the ones you’ve just bought to mark a new tradition or celebrate the pure joys of Christmas.
Our top tip: more is more, fill every branch with your favourite ornaments and watch your tree come to life!
